AI seating
An AI first draft — you make the final call
Staring at an empty floor plan is the hardest part. Tablewise's AI gives you a sensible starting point in seconds, then hands it back to you.
What the AI does
- Reads your guest list, roles, parties and your tables' seat counts.
- Groups people who belong together, such as couples, families and friend groups.
- Follows instructions you give it, like keep these two apart or seat them next to each other.
- Suggests a table and seat for each unseated guest.
What it doesn't do
It doesn't know your family history unless you tell it, and it won't replace your judgement. It never overfills a table — seat limits are checked in the app, not left to the AI. And nothing changes until you review the suggestion and choose to apply it.
You stay in control
The suggestion opens on your real floor plan, with newly placed guests highlighted and each instruction shown as kept or not met. Apply it, try again with more instructions, or go back. After applying, drag, swap and tweak anything.
Give it better instructions
Type @ next to a guest to add instructions such as @nextto, @near, @far or @split, then pick the other guest. Instructions are saved with your wedding, so they're there the next time you run a draft.
